Release Notes September 2025

Updated over a week ago

We're excited to announce improvements to the Access Expense mobile application that enhance the experience for our users working with foreign currency expenses on their mobile devices and the section below describes our enhancement(s) in more detail.

Access Expense Mobile App – Exchange Rates

While exchange rate information has always been available in the web application, mobile app users previously had no way to view exchange rates and currency conversion details when submitting or approving foreign currency expenses on their mobile devices.

The key benefits are as follows:

  • No More Desktop Dependency: Mobile app users can now view exchange rates and converted amounts directly on their devices, eliminating the need to switch to the web application while traveling.

  • Feature Parity: The mobile app now provides you with the same currency transparency that was previously only available in the web application.

  • Faster Mobile Approvals: Approvers using the mobile app can now see complete currency conversion details without needing to access the desktop version.

How does it work:

  • For Mobile Claimants: When submitting a foreign currency expense in the mobile app, you'll now see the current exchange rate being applied and the converted home currency amount before submission - just like in the web application.

  • Manual Rate Adjustments: If you need to override the system exchange rate (for example, to match a specific corporate card statement rate), you can manually edit the rate in the mobile app. When you do this, the expense will be automatically tagged as "Manually Calculated" to maintain transparency for approvers.

  • For Mobile Approvers: When reviewing expenses on the mobile app, you'll see the original currency amount, the exchange rate applied, and the converted value. If the exchange rate was manually adjusted by the claimant, you'll see the "Manually Calculated" tag, providing full visibility into how the conversion was determined.

Note: Exchange rates displayed in the mobile app are the same rates used in the web application, ensuring consistency across all platforms.
